College Board Forum 2010
Engage in informative, thought-provoking conversations with K-12 and higher education professionals, and key advocates for educational success, at this year's College Board Forum — the annual conference that leads the discussion in education. Education leadership at all levels has never been more important.
Our discussions at Forum 2010 will encompass cutting-edge education issues and pertinent policies; grassroots and macro-level topics; community-specific strategies and solutions; education advocacy; and both best and next practices in college admission, financial aid and college readiness. Conversations on leadership will stem from a strong belief that only the combined excellence of all professions comprises a quality education system.
This year a member of the Advocacy & Policy Center's Advisory Committee, SUNY Chancellor Nancy Zimpher, will give the presidential address. Under her leadership, SUNY is ranked 4th in the nation for research and development investment, and boasts 440,000 students matriculating at SUNY schools from all fifty states and 170 countries around the world. Dr. Zimpher will set the tone for this year's Forum as a leader who is forging positive change in a new decade.
Other plenary speakers include:
- David Gregory, Moderator, NBC's Meet the Press
- Freeman Hrabowski, President, The University of Maryland, Baltimore County
- Michelle Rhee, Chancellor, District of Columbia Public Schools
